Other recent books include Connections: core & all― haiku and senryu (Bottom Dog Press, 2023,) and Imagine a Town, which was awarded the 2019 Sheila-Na-Gig Poetry Prize.

Other recent books include Connections: core & all― haiku and senryu (Bottom Dog Press, 2023,) and Imagine a Town, which was awarded the 2019 Sheila-Na-Gig Poetry Prize. She writes both traditional and short-form poetry, and her haibun was short-listed by the Haiku Foundation for a Touchstone Award. Barbara’s honors include an Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council. She holds an MFA from Spalding University. She partnered with the Cuyahoga Falls Library to create a poetry workshop program. Barbara is a retired speech pathologist who lives in Akron, Ohio with her husband and wonder dog.
