Wrong

Dad used to say,

"I thought I was wrong once,

but I was mistaken"

Morning Haze

conceals the fields.

Who will till

this fertile land?

I was always so assured

by what I knew

Migrant workers

essential to farmers

cruelly dismissed

and evicted.

That's what they called me

Wheatwithers and

acres of soybeans

rot where they stand.

"I was wrong for the first time again"

Now, I don't know

what I don't know
