Last Saturday, Lit Cleveland collaborated with Twelve Literary Arts to help support the "Wear Orange" campaign. This annual campaign, initiated by Everytown for Gun Safety, is a drive to fight for a future free from gun violence—since 100 Americans are killed with guns every day.
At this open-mic event, poets read work commenting on the tragedy of gun violence, joined by three Lit Cleveland representatives. In addition, folks from the Ohio branch of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America spoke about strategies to help reduce gun tragedies.
Many thanks to Daniel Gray-Kontar of Twelve Literary Arts, organizers from Moms Demand Action, and everyone who attended!
