From April to September 2025, we will be offering free monthly writing groups in each genre at the Lakewood Public Library. Whether you are in the middle of a project or starting something new, these groups are designed to help you draft new work, refine your craft, and build community with other writers. Join us every month or stop by for a single session when you can.

Eric Odum is a Libra, poet, brother, lover and friend. He works in the nonprofits arts field in Cleveland, OH as a way to nurture and amplify the voices of communities and neighborhoods that are often forgotten or silenced. He is the creator of the One Mic Open Poetry Slam. He is also in the process of bringing his second collection of poems and essays to completion, titled The Stars We Call Home.
Jen Jones Donatelli is a certified Co-Active coach, creative facilitator and founder of Creative Groove—a small business offering courses, coaching, and community around the art of creative living.
Johnny Caputo is an active member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA) and a voter for the Nebula Awards. His speculative fiction has appeared in Escape Pod, Mithila Review, Cast of Wonders, and other venues. When not writing, he spends his time teaching at various institutions and wandering the woods around Cleveland.
