In this session, co-presented by Greater Cleveland Film Commission and Literary Cleveland, learn the basics of the film industry and meet other aspiring screenwriters. The class begins with a brief introduction to the industry by GCFC. The second section will be an in-depth presentation by followed by a longer segment with Tiffany Alexander, CSU film teacher and award-winning journalist. The evening will end with a group Q+A and networking.

Tiffany Alexander has a BA from Hampton University, and an MFA in Narrative Media Writing from the University of Georgia. She is an award-winning journalist, author, and screenwriter whose work explores social justice issues, including the prison reform, the academic achievement gap, and generational poverty. She teaches at CSU’s School of Film and Media Arts and works with creatives – ages 2 to 92 – around the city of Cleveland.
