Cut! Editing First Drafts (FULL)

In this interactive, 4-week, 2-hour workshop, award-winning poet, playwright, editor and author, Dr. Mary Weems will share her tips for editing creative writings across genres in a collective, learning community environment. Participants will have an opportunity to share up to two pages of writings for immediate feedback, to go over your drafts and apply Dr. Weems tips working individually and in small groups. Like most things we learn to do well, the more we do it, the better we get at it, and this workshop is designed for writers who are just beginning and/or experienced writers who want to get even better at editing.

Details: Cut! Editing First Drafts takes place Wednesdays June 5, June 12, (skipping June 19), June 26, and July 3 from 6:30-8:30 PM in-person at Literary Cleveland (13002 Larchmere Blvd. Cleveland, OH 44120).

Size: Limited to 12 participants (including scholarships).

Scholarships: Two scholarship spots are available for this class for writers in Northeast Ohio. Apply by April 15.
