Visual Narratives: Creating a Printed Book

Put on your storytelling caps for this unique writing and book making class! At the end of the two-part session, participants will walk a way with a handmade book of their own creative writing. This class is open to writers and makers of all levels—no previous experience required! During the first session, students will dive into generative writing prompts to explore lyric and fragmented narrative forms with writer Sarah Minor. During the second session, artist Eugene Sarmiento will guide participants through step-by-step techniques to learn basic printmaking and bookbinding and create a handmade book that features their writing.
